Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Reformpädagogik, Note: 1,5, Universität Lüneburg, 47 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Maria Montessori war eine bedeutende Ärztin und Pädagogin, der Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts eine positive Entwicklung der Stellung der Frau und eine Wende in der Erziehungsmethode von Kindern zu verdanken ist.
In der vorliegenden Arbeit möchte ich anhand der Montessori Grundschule Altländer Viertel, die in einem sozialen Randgebiet der Stadt Stade liegt, zeigen, wie die Kinder aus diesem Stadtteil mit der Montessoripädagogik arbeiten und umgehen. Bedingung für das Verständnis des Unterrichtsgeschehens an dieser Schule ist der Einblick in Maria Montessoris Erziehungsmethode.
Ich werde zunächst auf die Biographie der Reformpädagogin eingehen, denn schon ihre Kindheit ist ein Schlüssel zu ihrer späteren Arbeit. Montessori beschäftigte sich während ihrer Tätigkeit als Medizinerin intensiv mit Kindern und sah sie aus einer ganz neuen Perspektive. Diese Sicht des Kindes und dessen Entwicklungsphasen werde ich im dritten Abschnitt dieses Beitrages beschreiben, denn sie ist Voraussetzung für die Montessoripädagogik. Auf diese werde ich im weiteren Verlauf eingehen.
Schwerpunkt meiner Arbeit ist die Betrachtung der Umsetzung dieser Erziehungsmethode an der Montessori Grundschule Altländer Viertel. Im sechsten Teil werde ich mich mit der Montessorigrundschule in Stade beschäftigen. Die Schilderung des Schulalltags basiert auf Hospitationen meinerseits an dieser Einrichtung und auf Auskünften der unterrichtenden Lehrkräfte. Da das Altländer Viertel ein soziales Randgebiet und Brennpunkt der Stadt Stade ist, bedarf es wegen der Problematik eine Erläuterung, welche ich im Abschnitt zuvor vornehmen werde.
Im Verlauf der hier vorliegenden Abhandlung werde ich mich mit dem Thema „Montessoripädagogik im Altländer Viertel – Wie gehen Kinder aus sozialen Randgebieten mit ihr um?“ beschäftigen, weil ich in der Methode Maria Montessoris eine gelungene Alternative zur üblichen Erziehungsform sehe. Des Weiteren ist es meiner Meinung nach erforderlich, Menschen aus sozialen Randlagen Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe und zur gesamtgesellschaftlichen Integration anzubieten. Der Grundansatz hierzu liegt in der Erziehung der Kinder.
