Einerseits steigt neben der Komplexität der am Markt verlangten Produkte und Dienstleistungen auch die Nachfrage nach Komplettlösungen, Serviceangeboten und Kundennähe. Andererseits zwingt die zunehmende Konkurrenz und damit auch oft problematische Kostensituation die Unternehmen zur Konzentration auf ihre Kernkompetenzen und zur bestmöglichen Ausnutzung der vorhandenen Kapazitäten. Zur Lösung dieses Konflikts zwischen geforderter Diversifikation und Konzentration bietet sich die Kooperation von Unternehmen einer Wertschöpfungskette im Rahmen eines Netzwerks als eine Möglichkeit an, was zukünftig immer mehr zur Konkurrenz gesamter Wertschöpfungsketten führen wird. Durch den Zusammenschluss mehrerer Unternehmen sind Optimierungen der unternehmensinternen Prozesse nicht mehr ausreichend und die Notwendigkeit unternehmensübergreifender Koordination der Aktivitäten lässt die Anforderungen an das Controlling stark steigen. Es scheint fraglich, ob es auf Basis der traditionellen Konzepte überhaupt möglich ist diesen gerecht zu werden.1 In diesem Zusammenhang beschäftigte sich die Literatur der jüngeren Vergangenheit besonders mit dem Konzept der Balanced Scorecard (BSC). In dieser Seminararbeit soll die Supply Chain BSC vorgestellt und die folgenden Leitfragen beantwortet werden:
1. Welche Ansätze zur Anpassung der traditionellen BSC an die Anforderungen des Supply Chain Controllings gibt es?
2. Inwieweit existieren praktische Umsetzungen dieser Ansätze?
3. Wird die SC BSC den Ansprüchen des Supply Chain Controllings gerecht und welche Probleme können bei einer Umsetzung entstehen?
